SURFING IN SAYULITA
Surfers were some of the first foreigners to visit Sayulita in the late 1960's where they found warm water and consistent waves all year-round. To this day, the Sayulita surfbreaks and waves have fulfilled the tropical surf dreams of beginner to advanced surfers from all over the world.
There are two surf spots in Sayulita; a right (longboard) break in front of the village and a left (faster) break in front of the campground. There are other great surf spots near Sayulita. Just 20 minutes by taxi you can find the slowly peeling breaks of Punta Mita, and 10 minutes by taxi you can attempt to ride the beach-pounding breaks of San Pancho that require more skill.
